Bekerweek voor vets

Na de, helaas, geclaimde wedstrijd van afgelopen zondag tegen de Wasps dienen de Vets weer vooruit te kijken naar de bekerwedstrijd van aankomende woensdag. Als de weersomstandigheden het ditmaal wel toelaten zal er woensdag avond om 20:00 uur gespeeld worden aan de limietlaan te ’s Hertogenbosch. Daar zullen de heren van het 2e team van de Dukes  de vets opwachten. De teams kennen elkaar al van de eerder gespeelde competitiewedstrijd in Valkenswaard. Toen was het een spannende gelijk opgaande strijd die uiteindelijk eindigde in een 6-3 overwinning van de Dukes op de Vets.

De winnaar van komende woensdag zal op CARNAVALS-zondag aan moeten treden tegen Alkmaarse RUFC in Alkmaar, die via een buy (Claim) in de kwart-finales zijn beland.. Ook dit is weer een bekende van de Vets. In de poulefase van de beker verloren de Valkenswaardse in de uitwedstrijd tegen hen met 50-10.

    Goed gespeeld. Was een hard gevochte wedstrijd en verlies betekent in ieder geval dat jullie kunnen carnavalsweekend met alle vertrouwen tegemoet – zonder afwijking richting Noord-Holland! Nu alle aandacht gericht op Betuwe in de competitie op 13 maart waarbij winst betekent play-offs en maakt de laatste wedstrijd uit tegen de Dukes onbelangrijk. Ik wens iedereen veel plezier, en tot de volgende training!
